Scripture Reading:1 Cor 1:17-24

Everyone loves good news, but what do you do when you don’t understand the good news that’s been told to you?

To help illustrate: Imagine your friend approaching you with a large smile. He says, “I got some good news! Ready?”
Eager to hear the news, you reply, “What is it?”
“The good news is me!” You scratch your head as you conclude that your friend has lost his marbles. In the same way, although no one saw at the time of Jesus’ earthly ministry, the announcement “The Good News is Me!” is exactly the declaration Christ was making. How is Jesus the Good News? Well the Good News is encapsulated in 1) Jesus’s life 2) Death and 3) Resurrection.
