"Our journey of spiritual renewal" was the theme of the Anglican Indigenous Circle held in Lethbridge, Alta., July 1997.

This third national gathering brought together Aboriginal Anglicans and non-Aboriginal partners from across the Canadian Anglican Church to discern and raise up God’s call to them to covenant together. By sharing and healing pain they journeyed together to affirm their identity and diversity as Indigenous Anglicans and partners in a movement towards self-determination. This is the vision of the covenant and calls the Anglican Church of Canada to a shared journey of healing, moving towards wholeness and justice.
