Usiba Noncwadi is a 4 piece-soul band from Motherwell, South Africa that puts together the most attractive elements from afro-soul, contemporary jazz, poetry, traditional sounds etc.
Usiba Noncwadi is a Xhosa word that translates “written poetry” in English. Also it represents co-ordination between a pen(artists) and pad(people); one cannot exist without the other. And it stands for the power/ability to re-write music and artistic history.
