Beautifully done! ...been trying to unravel how you've managed the smooth pans and zooms in addition to the time-lapse... nice

Good job, well done. Citywest might be a little bit out of place beside all the true Dublin, urban scenes, but it's a fantastic video, great work.

Excellent! I really like the feeling of depth in many of the shots such as via clouds and stationary objects in the city shots paired with the camera movement.
  •
  • Rob Ryan 9 months ago
Really excellent video, I don't have any jargon to throw out to describe the finer points of how well it was made as I don't understand the subtleties but I can safely say I dig it...Looking forward to the next one...

Lovely work Richard, let me know if you're ever in London and we can hook up for some time-lapse action. Would love to know how you did the 180 deg timelapse on O'Connell Bridge? Makes Dublin look cool....
  • Richard Twomey plus 9 months ago
Thanks David, like your stuff of London btw. The panning shot was done with this: bit.ly/j12zuR
  • David Connolly 9 months ago
Thanks Richard, sorry, I should have read the description to your video before I asked how the panoramic shot was done! Nice touch, never seen it before in a time-lapse. Was it fairly straightforward to use with the 5D? Bit strapped for cash at the moment but think it would definetly be a worthwhile investment.

    Keep up the good work!

Amazing, probably a silly questions, but is this video sped up, or photo time lapse?
  • Richard Twomey plus 9 months ago
It's a photo time lapse, Sean. I shot over 11,000 Raw files with a Canon 5D and made video clips from each location.

Cheers, I'm playing around with a GoProHD at the moment and want to rig up a DIY egg timer panning system!

    Cheers

Cheers. I had the camera velcroed to the dash with a black floor mat to kill reflections, nothing too fancy.
