Born blind and with an extraordinary voice, Jessica is training to be an opera soloist. Here Jessica performs with the Catholic University Orchestra where she is about to graduate with honors - and was an exceptional student. We follow Jessica as she travels alone from her home in Baltimore by train to Washington DC to rehearse. Being blind is not the problem. For Jessica the problem is people's perception of blindness. People bend over backwards to help blind people in small, unimportant matters - such as directing them to a door - but they are not so generous or fair when a blind person competes for a job.
