This session dives at the crux of what Web 2.0 and SOA really are and how they will impact enterprise architecture in the next 5 years. Duane Nickull, Senior Technical Evangelist at Adobe, teases out the fundamental patterns, models and architectures of many popular Web 2.0 implementations and shares tWiki Markuphe research that is being done while co-authoring a book on this subject with Tim O'Reilly, James Governor and Dion Hinchcliffe. These are extremely important topics for architects as many enterprises seek knowledge of the design patterns used by these successful Web 2.0 companies.
We will also show the evolution of the client server model into a 5-tier model based on the consistent concepts of most successful Web 2.0 patterns. The model serves as a useful starting point for anyone either designing business models or technology for Web 2.0 in Java. The Web 2.0 model is also used to illustrate a reference architecture and ports well to J2EE concepts.
