A Short film i made for a Uni project, The script was given so dialogue had to keep to the script but the idea for the film and the scenes are all ideas to make the dialogue work,

Filmed with a hv20 + 35mm DIY adapter

Great job. Loved the cinematography, looks like your DIY adapter is working out pretty well. Good actors too.

    Looked very professional. Nice work!

yes great cinematography- what lens you use on the adapter- shots seem pretty wide- you use a wide angle 35mm lens or regular 50mm (focal length)? thanks for sharing

50mm prime pentax smc lens, so quite a close lens, i had to get back a few times otherwise couldnt fit in what i needed.
    thanks for comments! :)

beautiful cinematography! Did you find it hard to film the action with the image flipped?
  •
  • oliver walker plus 1 year ago
    thanks! :)

nah, ive built a 10.9" hd screen to monitor the focussing and the safe frame, so its really easy to get what i need it to look like :) defo a must for a DOf adapter!

Wow! Was this with a Twoneil adapter?

also what camera settings did you use?
  •
  • Great film!
  •
  • oliver walker plus 1 year ago
thanks! :) no diy homemade 35mm adapter, based on the twoneil design but vibrating ground glass, and opteka macro to eliminate vignetting. canon to pentax adapter on the end for my 50mm smc.

Camera settings pf25 and cinemode, nothing else, all grading done in post. cinemode gives a great curve softer than other modes but i think it looks great!

What did you colour correct with?
  •
  • oliver walker plus 1 year ago
i started with magic bullet but then decided it was a bit strong and slow to render, so i just used curves, and saturation and replace colour and also a gradient overlay
    cheers

Excellent! what kind of ground glass did you use for your DIY adapter? I built my own too but my images don't look as good as yours. I also have the Opteka Macro. Did u use a lot of light? Great work.

haha that was awesome! what gg are u using? rotating or vibrating? looks good, some vignetting.. but anyway really good job!
  •
  • oliver walker plus 9 months ago
    thanks!

gg is vibrating with eos ee-s or a i cant remember, the one that lets the most light in.
using an opteka macro too, im unconvinced about how good it is compared to the special anchromats.... i can always zoom in a tiny bit more :)

Dont tell dave 2 coming soon this summer!
