The Album Leaf - The Light
Music video final project for my Computer vision class. I made the lightpainting/motion tracking effect in Jitter and set it up live outside. People were interacting with it in real time (there was a projector and screen they were looking at) but at a low resolution. I filmed them simultaneously in HD and rendered later once I had edited things to the music.
I'm happy to share my code with anyone who wants it! It's a little outdated, but should work fine in max 5/jitter.

1 year ago I actually used cv.jit for a very small part of this project, and that was using optical flow to move the entire drawing around..everything else was jit.op, jit.repos, and jit.wake and a feedback loop ..i'll send you the max5 compressed code if you want to play around -
Matthias 1 year agohow was working in hd with jitter? I haven't even tried yet. -

11 months ago really really slow..at full HD resolution it took about 5 hours to render the entire 5 minute sequence..but i knocked it down to 640x320 (i think) and that made it speed by in about an hour -

10 months ago Really great work, I've looked at quite a few of your videos. I'm assisting teaching a Max/msp and Jitter class at the Kansas City Art Institute. This is our first year having the class. I was wondering if it would be cool to show of some of your work to the class? And I was hoping to check out your patch to play around... You can check out some of my work at ericsouther.com -
