This is a very quick shot I did to test my hardware/software setup. I shot it in daylight which is why the light is flickering so much, but since this was just a general tryout I think it's okay for now.
The background and the clouds are made of paper, the structures and textures are all handmade. The cemetery setting is mainly made of paper, too, but it's also three dimensional and will be a stage for puppet animation. I shot the animation under my old-school animation stand (see picture below) with my Pentax *ist DL2 and Dragon Stopmotion software.
This animation is part of my Orpheus film project ( einfachanimation.de/tag/orpheus-film-project/ ) in which I combine different kind of animation to retell the ancient story of Orpheus and Eurydice. In this test setup the foreground isn't moving, but ultimately the characters are moving through the foreground, too.
