Story:

This story follow a person that just returns to Singapore after a long sojourn overseas. Being away from his homeland for so long, he finds the environment unfamiliar and a little overwhelming. Most of what he remembers as Singapore is gone. He wonders the streets, feeling distant from the people and his surroundings. He feels nostalgic, wishing for a time that he can understand better.

Perhaps unconsciously, he wanders to a barber shop where he use to frequent when young. He hesitates at the door, wondering whether he will still be remembered. PIcking up courage, he enters. The warmth in the barber shop is overwhelming. He is greeted familiarly, as if he had never been away. They talk of old times, the past and the present that have left them behind. Finally. the human connection is achieved through the intimate experience of the haircut.
