Official presentation of Motion Boutique Newton for After Effects at the Adobe Creative Week in Paris, 11 May 2011.

Discover the first physics engine for After Effects.
Simple to use and fast to execute, Newton is the must-have animation plug-in.
Newton interprets each 2D layer as a rigid body in a real environment. Once simulation is completed, animation is recreated in After Effects with standard keyframes.

Main Features:
. robust and fast
. simple and intuitive user interface with OpenGL preview
. gravity, collisions, friction,…
. support of masks and shapes
. handles different sorts of bodies: static, dynamic, kinematic,…

I'm curious how they applied that mask to the graffiti layer?? Did it apply the 400+ masks to the image or was that done manually??

    Anyone have any idea?

good stuff, but it´s kind of borrowed from AnimeStudio Pro´s Physics Simulation since version 7
...good improvement anyway for strict AE users! hope it evolves towards 3D layers in CS6...

Hola los felicito por la interesante aplicacion realizada para after effects, me gustaria saber si existe la posibilidad de subtitular al español.

Hello I commend you for the interesting application made for after effects, I would like to know if there is a chance to subtitle in Spanish.

I still don't understand how do you create the "grid of masks" (wich will then be separated by newton) in the graffiti shatter effect...
  • motionboutique plus 2 months ago
    check that tutorial!

  • Manight 2 months ago
Thanks for your kind reply! I watched it but this means it would be possible only on vector images (not pngs for istance). Is there no easy way/plugin to add a grid of masks in After Effects? That would make that great effect more viable on several kind of media (even movie shatters)
  • motionboutique plus 2 months ago
there's another solution. It's to use the "grid" effect of AE, then to use the "auto trace" function.
  •
  • Manight 2 months ago
That could be a great workaround! Thanks again
  • motionboutique plus 2 months ago
yep, but it's not very accurate...
