Photomotion project shot on the plane ride from Milwaukee to Houston. I didn't shoot it with B/W in mind, but when I saw my first test edits, I really loved the coloration and contrast. Reminded me of old WW2-era films.

About 750 pics, shot in singles, bursts, and continuous sections. Edited in Lightroom (color, contrast, crop), exported as HD frames. Compiled in QT Pro as Image Sequence.

Music is "Wonson" by Violet (archive.org/details/zero003). And Pete, it's CC-licensed!

    I really really really love this one! Love the b/w. Love the music, especially how it's scratchy, crackling, and popping. Really Cool. Love the photography. My favorite moment is the quick cut to the tray table latch in the beginning. Something really suspenseful about that.

    Glad you liked it! I really liked it too, I was very happy with the end result. And I wish I had gotten a few more shots of the interior, but I didn't want to annoy the neighbors too much.

    Wonderfully creative. The confinement was the chanllenge here. I wanted the "plot" to unfold, but realise its hard to bring a lot of development to a seat on and airliner. Good work.

    Thanks! Yeah, the confinement meant that I had to wait to see if something else would develop. Much like sitting on a corner and just watching people/cars to see if something interesting would happen. Except with clouds and the sky.

    Thanks! I missed a few great sections of clouds because I didn't want to be too annoying to the passengers around me. My shutter was clicking quite fast and a bit loud.

    Thanks! I think next time I'll try to get a seat way in the back near the engines. Hopefully that noise will cover up my shutter clicks, allowing me to do whatever.

    Aw beautiful, the shots of clouds about a minute in are my favourite. I honestly don't believe they'd look as good if it weren't photomotion!

    Thank you! I agree about the photomotion adding something great to that scene. They were very pretty to the eye and moved slowly and majestic. But it was hard to focus on any particular details, I think the stopmotion helps bring out the contrasts and movements more.
