Practicing yoga is a lot like experimenting in the kitchen: both require practice, both require patience, and both allow you to unite different elements into a delicious balance—usually while wearing Lycra. So even as the city is busy wrapping its head (and arms, legs, and neck) around DC Yoga Week‘s full schedule of classes, we find ourselves hungry for more. Fittingly, we turned to a guy who’s been mixing his love of cardio with cooking for years: Susur Lee. In addition to being a Top Chef: Masters finalist with the highest score in the show’s history, the world-famous chef is also a seasoned yogi with a physique that defies his 50+ years. We recently met up with Lee several stories above his DC restaurant, Zentan, to film him as he walked us through his yoga workout.
