It's summer time here and with that brings a multitude of different species of lizards into our back yard, from small geckos (which I love - so cute!) to the bigger blue tongues and bob tail lizards. (Shinglebacks)
Unfortunately some of them wander in and fall victim to my curious dogs or fall in the swimming pool, so whenever we can we try to rescue them and put them in the bush across the road.
Today we had two successful rescues - a fiesty bobtail and a gecko who bit the facecloth and wouldn't let go! (He disappeared later so hopefully he will be ok.)
We have a large black racehorse goanna that lives in/on our roof.
He was also around today making a racket up there.
Sounds more like a crocodile than a lizard sometimes!
I don't mind the lizards, but recently there was a snake in our house....under my chair!
I was screaming too much at the time to think to grab the video camera :)
