Nope. SoFla isn't renowned for its surfing waves, that's for sure. When I grew up, I thought myself lucky if we had a decent windy day with big waves once per year (big here being a relative term and meaning something like 2-3 ft waves). Of course, when the hurricanes roll around, it's a different story altogether, but you'd have to be cuckoo to go surfing then.
