In April, 2010 I visited the Warrumbungles National Park (NSW, Australia) for Easter and on my walks I shot the following video.
The park was alive with animal activity after an unusual bout of rain in the preceding months.
The Warrumbungles is the name of the range within the park, remnants of a massive volcano. Keep an eye out for the climbers on the yellow rock in a shot about half way through
The Siding Spring Observatory, which lies within the park boundaries is featured in the video and includes the Anglo-Australian Telescope.
This part of Australia was chosen for the observatory due to it’s low level of light pollution.
The Kangaroos featured are part of a large group of Grey Kangaroos, which live in the centre of the park.
