This machine uses artificial intelligence to paint its own body of work and to make its own decisions. While doing so, it listens to its environment and considers what it hears as input into the painting process. In the absence of someone or something else making sound in its presence, the machine, like many artists, listens to itself.

    thanks! it reacts quite differently to different styles of music. while I didn't design it this way on purpose, it seems most responsive to loud ugly modern music (such as what I write and like), and the farther the input is away from that, the less it considers it.

    this is a really epic piece. i love the concept, and the execution is beautifully engineered and designed.

    i'd love to see you do a call for other artists to program new 'brains' for it, and do an exhibition where it paints with different programs running.
