1. 4 things we'd LOVE to see in the next iOS
9 months ago
When we have an idea about something we really like, we simply can't keep our hands off it. The iPhone is great, but that doesn't mean it can't get a little better.....right?

Amazingly well put together. Very Apple-like approach.

I don't mean to troll here, but these look like they are borrowed from Android (and Windows Phone!) :)

Still, yes, would be great to have them.

True true, we haven't invented new features as such. What we're trying to do is to fit features we're missing in iOS into the platform in a way which works with the paradigm.

looking back at it now that apple released the new notification systems, your version is so much better looking AND not copy-pasted from Android (unlike Apple's) :-)

Solid idea, very well presented; timing, explanation as well as the screen caps.

    Much obliged!

Hmmm, this looks familiar. What does this remind me of?
Ah yeah, Windows Phone (Mango). This one only looks a bit antiquated. :D

This video must be made by the guys who developed the WindowsPhone UI. Cannot be a coincidence.

I think it's great. As an big iphone fan I would love to see these features implemented and... to be completely honest I couldn't care less where these features are from... They are good. I wish that apple saw this!

Sorry, can't be really "ohmygawd" about this video, it's just not good enough.

People on the home screen? Yes let's get back to cluttered heaven, even when you can group them, I'm still the same amount of clicks away

Widgets just makes the interface look like a Sense UI, more logical would be a "dashboard alike" overlay over the entire UI, but that's what they call apps these days...

The notifications thing is quite impressive though, well thought out and extremely usefull, eventhough everything that's different (colored) than the current popups should fit well...

Peaceful, calm, very non-amateurish video. Better than ones I've seen before. And your implementation of your ideas are fantastic!

Thanks a lot, makes us happy!

Great ideas. My only complaint is the iPhone should have a user dictionary for text messaging. How hard is that?

You can have these plus more on Android...

  • erik umenhofer 8 months ago
Yeah, WP7 does most of this already...It's cool though.

    Hey! Incredible! Totally Apple-like! :D
I would like to know how did you make the video? I'm doing a project for my university right now and it's an app for iPhone and I want to do a video like yours! Could you give me an advice?
    Thanks a lot! :)

I would love that too. And a "mark all as read" button on Mail. : )

I feel like the need to have direct access to things from your home screen is a cool concept, but something that can easily become cluttered and less efficient. I do like the settings and contacts idea but I would just think the widgets constant use of memory would slow things down more than they would make things more efficient.
