Always remember that if one of these madmen starts following you, ring 911 on speaker phone (So he's none the wiser) and ask the operator where the nearest police station is so you can bring him in. :)

I believe he *cough* may have actually done you a favor. It would be worth the time to go down there, however you could possibly file a motion to dismiss based on the fact that the ticket is a "non ticket" Writing the prosecuting attorney might save you some time, but going down there they will most certainly dismiss it. Just say, "the officer pulled me over, not sure what for, and he gave me a ticket for nothing... I don't get it, I'm super confused" It's the court's job to prove you did whatever and they can't and won't.

Days like these scream time to buy a lottery ticket as luck is obviously on your side a couple times this day!
