This prototype uses 2 rotary encoders attached to the wheels to read the turn and direction to an arduino. Then the arduino sends the data to flash which plays back the grid of frames along the x or y direction (depending on the wheel turned). Flash triggers notes to play in Max MSP; the speed of the wheel determines the pitch of the note. The big red button toggles through the different grids and also brings up the info screen.
