It was top vs bottom on a fine evening in Tallaght. The Hoops, coming off a great win in the Setanta Sports Cup Final, saw Twiggy starting once more after being injured for a long spell. Although Rovers started slowly they took and kept control of the game from the start, but didn't score until the second half, which saw three goals and one disallowed goal go past the Drogs keeper to give the Hoops a well deservered win.
