Second attempt.

Shot with an HVX200 at 2fps using the SD card hack. Shutter at 350 degrees.

The resulting video was layered with two other copies of itself, offset by one and two frames. Composite mode was Add. Top of the frame was matted to keep the sky from blowing out too much.

Resulting video was rendered and then sped up 300%.

Music: Fridge - Cutup Piano

The "new" fullscreen option takes all his dimension with that type of video. (Just by curiousity, you've just replaced the video, what was the problem with the version just before ?)
  • dalas verdugo 1 year ago
It still looks too blurry to me. I was trying some different things to get the blur down. If you watch the original QuickTime, you'll see how much clearer it is.

Very cool. Overpass time lapses are usually a dime a dozen, but you took the time and effort to do it right, and it shows. The music is very appropriate as well.

  • dalas verdugo 10 months ago
I guess if the xm2 has a slow shutter mode, you could film for an hour and then speed it up?
  • Don purdie 10 months ago

It is absolutely not new. If you saw film Koyaanisqatsi of director Godfrey Reggio know on what reception it is constructed.
The same effect on a 35 mm is much better and more colourful
  • dalas verdugo 4 months ago
I'm pretty sure he didn't invent the time-lapse.
  • Mariya Kozlova 4 months ago
When you look this film at us will be to talk about what. You show a simple special effect which can surprise only nonprofessionals.
  • dalas verdugo 4 months ago
It's hard to understand what you mean, but surprise was not my goal. At least 176 people seem to appreciate the video. That's good enough for me.
  • dalas verdugo 4 months ago
[Long cut & paste summary of Koyaanisqatsi removed] I've seen Koyaanisqatsi. That's not what I couldn't understand. Some of your English is confusing.
