Thinking Freshly From Experiencing – How Gendlin's Philosophy of the Implicit helps you Think at the Edge

Nada Lou introduces Eugene Gendlin explaining concepts underlying the practice of Thinking at the Edge (TAE), taken from 200 min dvd documentary.

The first dvd moves you through the "Speaking from the felt sense" and "Finding the patterns" steps. The second dvd takes you through "Open Logic, Concepts and Theory building from experience".

Nada had a role in teaching the steps during this workshop. Gene took an opportunity to DO his own process. It is the most fascinating and instructive aspect of this series - we see his thinking evolving on the spot as he uses the TAE steps to carry forward his own process - a living example of philosophy applied in a philosopher's real life!

Videography by Nada Lou nadalou.com and music by Goran Petrovic. 7:05 min excerpt from 2 dvd docu shot in Garrison NY 2006.

It's incredible how people who made the film destroy all the seriousness of the gendlin theorie ... Do americans really need a music when gendlin say that's thinking !!! Are they so stupid so that they need music for every intellectual conversation ?!

Well , just look at the end of the video , the music make me thing of a kind of advertise or a sect . You can not present focusing like a product that you consume or something like that .

So it seems too familiar making focusing as a thing like advertising? and so you prefer without music at the end? did I understand you

I agree the music is a distraction and it's unnecessary cuz I wish everything I studied would come in like when the millenium falcon goes into hyperspeed.
