Every glider pilot must have at least a basic understanding of the aerodynamic principles that are critical to the stability and control of a glider. This lecture introduces Bernoulli's Theorem and Newton's Laws to help explain what forces are at play.
Anthony Smith is an experienced glider pilot and works as an aeronautical engineer at the RAAF base at Edinburgh. Most of his work relates to the structural repair and modification of P3 aircraft. Anthony owns a Bergfalke 4, which is a vintage glider of wood and steel tube construction.
