My name is Alvin Lederer and i'm a South Florida Historian. I have researched Edgar Watson for over 15 years and I had no doubt the my friend Peter Matthiessen would win this award. I know the hard work and sweat he has put into this book. He was never happy with the trilogy and wanted the book to be as a whole. I'm very proud of Peter and this is the highlight of his career. I count my self lucky to have known this man. Thank You Peter for me and The Watson Family for writing this book.
