Roger Plant won the Wilberforce Award at the 2010 Freedom Awards, for his accomplishments as the first head of UN's special task force on modern-day slavery. In his acceptance speech, he announced he would donate his cash prize to fellow Freedom Award-winner, JEEVIKA—an India-based anti-slavery organization dedicated to bringing bonded laborers to freedom.
