I just think that the main reason for doing video feedback is to get many echoes, and since it is an analogue process, you cannot have control over the number of echoes you see. Also, the echoes are added together, effectively averaged, giving a certain amount of blurring.
Here, I'm trying to replicate the coolness of this effect digitally, where you can have much more control over how it is working. You can choose the number of echoes, but more subtly, you can choose how you blend the echoes. In the above they are not combined additively or by averaging for example.
