An updated version of the Twitter - NASA World Wind mashup that I am working on for ITP's Winter Show. I have a PHP script running as a cron job on a server that searches for retweets on Twitter and stores them in a database along with the original tweet and other retweets. I then wrote a program in Scala that reads in these tree structures from the database and animates them on the globe provided by NASA's World Wind Java libraries. There are several things I would like to add and improve, but this video shows that the major parts of the project will all work together.
