As part of ABSA's sponsorship of the iconic Currie Cup, South Africa's largest banking group intended to focus the large number of viewers, across a number of industries, on the various insurance offerings they have in their stable.

Briefed to create a full advertising package to be used during the Currie Cup matches, The Jupiter Drawing Room JHB briefed production studio Masters & Savant Worldwide JHB to created a series of 15 second commercials, 10 second squeezebacks, stings, web banners and digital scrollers for the event.

Says The Jupiter Drawing Room JHB creative director Jonathan Deeb, "The Currie Cup sponsorship package had to tie back to the existing ABSA "coach" commercial that demonstrates the strategic role ABSA provides to its clients. "

The Jupiter Drawing Room JHB then briefed production studio Masters & Savant Worldwide JHB to create the elements for the sponsorship bundle.

Says Masters And Savant Worldwide JHB MD Roger Smythe, " The total project included over 25 deliverables including on-air, event and web elements, which all had to tie back into the 30 second "coach" commercial. As the "coach" commercial featured a coach outlining the strategic plan on a black board, so we included the black board element, but further developed an animated chalk figure that demonstrated, in a comedic fashion, ABSA's multiple insurance offerings. These elements were then included in all the elements within the project bundle."
