On the 12th of May 2011, Over-reactor were scheduled to play a gig in Wollongong, NSW, Australia. At late notice the gig was cancelled so the Main Street Studios crew decided to invite some of their mates over and have the band in the studio.
"The Energy" is the result of a 14 hour impromtu collaboration between Over-reactor and a selection of Wollongong musicians who saw a post on Facebook and thought "beer and music, why not?".
Written and recorded in 14 hours, the days events were filmed. This video clip is actual footage of the genesis and recording of the song.
