JG Thirlwell was commissioned to write a composition for the robotic instruments that were created by Eric Singer's League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots. JG decided to add a string quartet to the robots in a collision of the organic and the mechanical. This clip shows part of the piece in rehearsal.
