Was hoping to have this one done and ready to post on Memorial Day. Unfortunately the Chicago weather has been stuck in March mode instead of late May. Anyways. My original plan for this weeks video only had one bomb pop. It was to rotate on a turntable and show up among the Chicago Skyline. With not much time to test and tinker with that idea I decided to just stab a bunch of bomb Popsicle's into a piece of angled Styrofoam, record the sun beating down and melting them and then reversing the footage. This was actually the second take because the camera overheated in the first run. The gap to the left is a result from the 10th Popsicle from not going easily into the pre-poked hole. I abandoned it. Overall, it's pretty cool. I do wish I had the camera a touch lower so you could see the melting Popsicle dripping off the Styrofoam into the pan. It would have revealed the source and probably would look pretty sweet bouncing up to the foam. Perhaps, the next time if I revisit this idea.
