1. John Coltrane's Psalm Recitation
In 1965, Coltrane released "A Love Supreme," one of the most beloved and cherished albums of the 20th century. The last track, Pt. 4 - Psalm, features a saxophone recitation of a poem he wrote, titled A Love Supreme, that was included in the liner notes. You can read along to his playing. It's incredible, and this video syncs up the song with his words.

Lloyd Pollard 11 months agoThis is Coltrane. Your insight has put together a magical moment that allows the music to be even more powerful when married to Coltrane's mindset/spiritset, belief and poetry. This is a church morning prayer. It is a divine moment with God and one of his angels communing with him. This is one man's God and what an opportunity you give for us to see the two meet in words, thought and sound. Well done! Thank you. -
Aart van Bergen 10 months agoI knew about the connection between those words and Coltrane's melody; but making a movie like this is a good idea. Trane talks through his horn... it's genius. Really beautiful. -
