Here is a night time electrical storm and star time-lapse to "Field of No Name" by my buddy Gavin Hardkiss gavinhardkiss.com/

This was a cool night in Alba Italy. We were driving home from dinner and there was a crazy electrical storm. I didn't have a compass so I took a guess where east was so that I could eventually get the sunrise. I was off by 90 degrees an ended up pointing due north (luckily) giving me a nice star rotation. I had another camera hidden in the vineyards catching the stars behind it. As dumb luck would have it it was pointed due east... ; - )

Time to buy a compass.

    My wide angle lens isn't fast enough to get the stars =p I liked the wide shots with the city and the stars. I do star timelapses with a 50mm f1.8.
