I'm skint at the moment, so I couldn't afford to get Emily a present for her birthday. I forgot to make anything too, so I decided to try and make her a song in the car on the way to the party in Herefordshire using the microphone in my laptop, and Garageband. Here's how it went!

p.s. trying to do this has given me even more respect for Reggie Watts, it's really hard thinking of stuff on the fly - I edited out all the thinking time!

[NB: I now find this video a bit boring and self indulgent, so watch at your own discretion!]

The guy that turned around is on the drivers side if you are in North America. Of course being on that side of the car in England means he's a passenger, not a driver.

It's to the left of the keyboard, where the speaker grill is. It picks up sound really well, but I just went close up to it to it to try and cut out the background noise a bit more. I've got a MacBook Pro, it's lovely!
