Man, did you bramp NYC or what? You must have the happiest Little Brampers in the world.. you have a family of 3, and they get to work like draft horses.

I'm loving that move out into the river at night.. like an impressionist painting in motion.

I have no idea how you manage to carry a 10ft, 50lb rail of aluminum all around NYC.

    Great work as usual!

Gorgeous film, mindrelic. Some seriously awesome dolly moves in there, and I loved the tilt-shift sequences. I have to say, you have guts for setting up the DP off buildings!

Great job - lotta lugging, rigging off building rooftops (loco) and processing to produce that!

    BOOM.

Not sure about that last shot though - felt like you had a better one to finish on?

Job well done - hotels must be stoked
  • Mindrelic plus 8 months ago
thanks for the input marcus, i agreed with you so i added one more sundown sequence to the end so that last skyline shot didn't hang for so long. cheers!

dude, josh man. this piece is incredible. I'm not going to pick out a favorite because there are too many. the sickest New York (city) timelapse i've ever seen man.

time to venture into 3 axis!
  • Mindrelic plus 8 months ago
thanks man! I'm definitely picking up a pan head soon
  • Daniel Dragon Films plus 8 months ago
The thing about the panning/tilting head (Richard knows) is that you get mo-co without carrying 2 tripods, a rail, etc. I have started using my Orion Teletrack AZ-G almost all the time as a stand-alone deal, gives you a lot of flexibility, you can set it up about 3X as fast as the Stage Zero.

Wow! This summer I'll be making my first ever visit to NYC.
Coming from the sleepy Hawaiian island of Kauai, I have to say that the big city of New York is an intimidating prospect. Your film shows it as the living breathing entity that it is. I'm more excited to see it than ever!
    Well done!
