My friend Asia is something of a dynamo. For most people starting a business is a pretty all consuming task. Others find the pursuit of a doctoral degree similarly daunting. Asia has undertaken both simultaneously. She has a passion for life and learning that is equalled only by her desire to share and to teach.

She asked me to help put something together to promote a lecture she was organizing featuring Blake Martin. We took off for Oakville to meet Blake and record an informal interview at his home. What a treat to meet Blake, a ridiculously talented over achiever. We captured an hour of interview and I found myself getting entirely wrapped up in the conversation.

Camera is the XH-A1, I used a single softbox with daylight fluorescents as a key against the bright sunshine streaming in through the window and a pair of AKG small diaphragm condensers to capture the sound.
