On my visit in Cameroon, I was luky to document this incredible woman constructing her hous all by her own.
Not only is she destructing her old house, but she also produces the bricks out of clay by herself.
Truely amazing...

P.S. Addes some Magic Bullet for smoother colors

yes, it was one of the most surprising things I ever had a chance to see in my life.
I still can't believe it when I watch it on the video.

At one point of the conversation, the woman just says: "mon mari est mort comme ça..."
I can not translate it in english, but the way she says it says it all.

It's great, really a good thing you noticed this, cause I think a majority of people would have just passed by.

Très intéressante cette vidéo, j'adore les questions d'Adrien au début! Pour une fois j'aime bien la musique choisie, c'est un peu triste quand même...

I know it sounds funny but I wish we could just up and build our own spaces with no rules or regulations (American freedoms so ironic). what a dream, labor of love and necessity. such a great video
  • Peter Meier 11 months ago
In fact, the way she builds her house is very american spirit - a strong wish to build whatever the obstacles are...
In Europe, and specially in Switzerland, everything is so regulated and protected, you couldn't even think of a similar experience, even if you wantet to (though probably nobody would want to do it anyway.

interesting as we lost all that contact with the land... we all live in houses we dont know who made them. we eat food we dont know who grew them. everything is soooo far from our senses.

very nice video. english subtitles maybe?

    cheers.

I will seriously think about english comments (I promise)

The reality in other countries & cultures sometimes makes your realise a lot of things in your own life.
