One of my other films "The Luger Story" won me $45,000 of the production budget for this film in an American Film Festival. Well, it got us into the next round. Then we had to write the script. Mike already had a basic draft which we worked on with some really great American talent.

Like with my earlier short film "Crossroad" which was made as part of the same competition in 2008 - (Also on my vimeo site) - they flew me over twice. This time they held the event in L.A, and it was awesome. We won $15,000 US, so naturally, we hired a convertible and drove to Vegas.

The only thing I really remember from Vegas, is Peggy's diner, on the way back, those amazing burgers, and the real, American homely attitude. Real Americans. Great people. Great food!

But Vegas being fun and all, I really do have to say, one of the highlights of making this film was being shown L.A by people like Dan Ireland and Jeff Dowd. Nothing quite like watching The Dude himself stage a protest at a car park entrance at a whim cause the security wouldn't let us park for free.

A great experience from beginning to end, the whole thing.

Below are the films humble festival qualifications as of yet. Will update as more come in.
