Congressman Connie Mack (R-FL 14) appeared on "FOX Business" from the White House's North Lawn, discussing the results of a meeting between Republican Congressmen and President Obama regarding the Federal budget. Congressman Mack felt that President Obama would rather avoid negative political fallout than put forth his own plan on reducing the national debt and presenting a federal budget. Congressman Mack also pointed out that the President's rhetoric on the budget plan advanced by Congressman Paul Ryan might lead to difficulties in future negotiations. The Congressman spoke about his own One Percent Spending Reduction Act of 2011 as a possible solution to the rising national debt. Source: FOX Business Network. Date: 6/1/11
