Asking my 3.5 year old some questions, to further test out the 5D on doing stationary camera interviews.
I have no idea what that crunching/grinding noise is at the beginning (in the background). It seems to go away later.

Bionicpix 1 year agoThat sound is either Autofocus (probably since it goes away) or IS in the lens. Both make noises the internal mic will pick up. What lens were you using? -
David DeWitt 1 year agoyea, it's the IS. If you put your ear up to the lens when the IS is on, you can hear it. If you're going to use IS with video in a quiet setting, think about getting the Sennheiser MKE 400 or the Rode VideoMic
