Chris, I have long been a fan of what you do on a bike and it is really sad to see an accident turn bad like that. It sucks so much when injuries keep us off the bike, and damn it gets boring laying around day after day. I wish you the best and hope that with time you can get back to being 100% cause thats how you always ride.

Speaking as both an XC/trail biker & orthopedic surgeon, I'm just glad it wasn't your spine that got injured. Or your knees. At least the closed fracture of the femur heals very well after an intramedullary nailing (that long tube inside your femur bone). You'll get back to your pre-injury level, don't worry. In the meantime, rest easy dude.
