ArtViews. Jan. 2007. A quick tour through the Getty and the Huntington Library in Southern California scored with "Classical Mash", a mix of classical excerpts assembled by Michael Nyiri. This was my most ambitious project prior to Cultural Blender, and has been on YouTube since January of 2007, but it never got the exposure I think it warrants. It is the last video on which I used the Pinnacle Studio editing suite, utilizing transitions and chroma key, and I began using Sony Vegas, which is infinitely better, with customizable and editable transitions and effects. There are 270 separate video and 51 separate audio components in this video. Some of the footage, of the Huntington Library, was shot in 2001 with my old JVC digital videocam from 1997. This was also used on a realvideo, also called "ArtViews" which streamed from allthingsmike.com in 2001, before I even had DSL to watch it. In those days, streaming video was unwatchable. I've sneaked in two artworks by Frank Frazetta and one by myself, which aren't hanging in the museums I visited.
