California's statewide climate change policies are groundbreaking. However, few people outside of the political and advocacy groups affected by this change are familiar with the goals and strategies of these laws.
It is important to understand these laws because in regions across the state, hundreds of negotiations are taking place between various stakeholders that will affect how California's public transportation, land use, and transportation policies develop over the next 20-30 years. Our regions have the opportunity to create more livable, less car dependent communities.
This four minute webisode is meant to outline the basic goals of the two main laws as they relate to transportation - Assembly Bill 32 (AB 32) and Senate Bill 375 (SB 375).
