For this video I cross modulated Scanner Darkly and Akira around the End of Children of Men. I picked that scene from Children of Men because the scene is one continuous steady shot and it fit thematically to Skinny Puppy's the Process the audio I choose for the project. In Skinny Puppy’s The Process there are panning synth effects that I tried to sync up with racing scenes from Akira, and the weird rotoscoping effect of Scanner Darkly to match up with the guttural noise effects from the track. I displaced Akira and Scanner Darkly around Children of Men in exactly opposite values so that when I composited them together they would fill each others negative space and create disorientating complex geometric effects.
