Young naval war hero and mayoral candidate Gregory McCluskey (played by Tommy Earwood) shares the screen with "his" dog in John Ford's sly parody of Nixon, JFK and Checkers in the 1958 political film THE LAST HURRAH. McCluskey's establishment, James Curley-esque opponent is Frank Skeffington (played by Spencer Tracy).

Written by Frank S. Nugent (adapted from Edwin O'Connor's novel); Directed by John Ford
