I went to see Neko Case at the Summer Stage and afterward I was walking through Central Park and saw these fiery little creatures blinking in the dark. It's the first time I'd seen Fireflies, EVER! They were awesome, and I sat in the park for a while with them floating and blinking spontaneously around me. Something special on a summer's eve...

sahadeva 2 years agoI don't know why it took the universe so long to get me and the fireflies together (yes, I blame the universe), but it's nice to discover something so wonderful this late in life. I see them everywhere now, especially at the entrance to Prospect Park, and I feel like the only person who notices them.
