A special thanks to the girls from Pearl London and Pure Storm.
We had a few moments spare with Sophia between shots, so we thought we would batter her with water balloons (in the name of a good summer). Unfortunately for we had some competitive models / ace pitchers and a fast bowler in the firing line up. The results were not quite as brutal as they look at 1000 frames per second.
Next time we need: more pitchers, a little more water in the balloons so we have a better burst rate, and tie the knots a little tighter...lighting: a small focused light from behind to put a little more sparkle in the water droplets too. Maybe a slightly more see though dress...
If you found this film fun/fascinating/freaky and like the cut of our jib, please take a good look at our other experiments here or at our website: photography-factory.co.uk we will post stills and a fully detailed technical breakdown, as well as unedited versions when we have a moment.
In this test we were using a Vision Research Phantom HD slow motion camera shooting to a 120 gig ram stack at 1000frames per second, the lens was a 35mm Carl Zeiss Planar T* wide open. Please forgive the poor aim of the firing squad, i think some of them just missed deliberately for fear that Sophia might survive and kick some vengeful butt. Which she did. Next time we will have massively improved firepower if not proper WMDs (Water-balloons of Mass Destruction)
If you are inspired by this or any or our videos please leave a good comment.
If you are an agency minion do not rip us off, you can if you like get some slow motion viral photography at low cost made by us! firstname.lastname@example.org please get in contact we are a lot of fun to work with. At photography-factory are are very experienced in slow motion, quite reasonable, and (just about) make our livings from creative film and photography. Plus we need some more money to pay for better tests...
No one (hot or not) was harmed* in the making of this film.
