Made in three days on Illustrator and After Effects, for Day 6 of the #30daysofcreativity.

(Yes, I think it shows too.)

CORRECTION:
After rendering, uploading, and transcoding on vimeo, I'd noticed I'd written it as 'Radio Public International' instead of 'Public Radio International' - my apologies! I blame sleepiness. Will update an updated version asap.

This is great. Really engaging. I just noticed one mistake (and I'm sure you're not interested in fixing and re-outputting); or at least I think it's wrong. I believe at :58, he says, "The thing I want to say to you is" really fast so it sounds like "the thing what to do is" (which is what you put up). Other than that, this inspired me! Great job!

How does this apply to people who are creative but have really shitty taste? That aren't aware that what they're doing is shite?
  • These people art self called Artist and are waiting for people with money to buy it and who than tell other people its a truly brilliant piece of art ?????? I think the fact that they are willing to wait for the money from people that don't know what to do with there money because they have to much of it and than later on keep telling people some strange unexplainable inspirational story of how there work comes together is an art form of its own :) in my opinion they ARE aware that there work is shitty but they don't give a f*ck because people pay them.

    Dear David Shiyang Liu,
Thank you for creating and sharing this video interpretation of Ira Glass' commentary. Wow! What he says is soooo true and the way you depicted it is very creative. I love it! Keep up the "work." You're beyond the "stomach ache" stage, as Libby Tolley would say.

Awesome. Thanks. Describes my videos/film-making to at T. I know where I want to be, I'm not there yet, and I'm painfully aware of all of the shortcomings/technical flaws....but I learn valuable lessons with every project, and every project is getting me a little closer to where I want to be - just need to keep on keepin' on!!
