The Holophonic Experience is a 7 minute immersive audio drama designed for headphone listening, centred around the crazy professor 'Otto Ping' and his sidekick Robot 'Frisbert' Set in Pings Laboratory, we go on a journey into sound using immersive Binaural recording techniques to create the sense of being there. Savalas were commissioned by The Glasgow Science Centre to create the work. Colin Edwards and the team from Bang Productions, behind last Years EIFF hit, 'H.P. Lovecrafts The Dunwich Horror' produced the project which was recorded and mixed at Savalas innovative studio's by Sound Designer Will Chadwick and composer and Savalas director, Giles Lamb. We have learnt a lot from the innovative techniques and hope to apply these to the sequal to The Dunwich Horror called 'The Rats in the Walls' also by HP Lovecraft but much shorter and designed for headphones not the cinema!!!
